The Alaska State Fair celebrated its 90th anniversary from Aug. 21 to Sept. 7 of this year. The fair takes place in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley each fall, and visitors enjoy food vendors and performances to celebrate one of the biggest events in the state of Alaska. This year’s fair concert series hosts notable performers such as AJR, Ziggy Marley, BigXthaPlug, Nick Offerman and more. Other events include a variety of shows such as Tina Scheer’s Lumberjack Show, talent and baking competitions and parent-child look-alike contests.
