On Aug. 22, the University of Alaska Anchorage welcomed students back to campus with this year's Campus Kickoff. Campus Kickoff is an annual event that allows new and returning students to explore campus and participate in exciting activities. During the event, UAA clubs, departments, organizations and more encouraged students to learn about opportunities at UAA. Jessi Saiki, a member of this year’s planning committee, provided insight into what Campus Kickoff means to them. “Campus Kickoff means something that brings us together, something that we can count on being there which is very valuable in a world that can be inconsistent and uncertain,” said Saiki.
