UCreate Media Camp: Jonathan Joon Shin

UCreate Media Camp is a summer camp put on by UAA’s department of Journalism and Public Communications in collaboration with Alaska Teen Media Institute. From June 5 to June 9, campers learn about audio, video and image production in addition to story telling and graphic design. The camp is being hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences at UAA.

UAA’s student newspaper, The Northern Light, is assisting in running the camp and hosting projects that campers make. You can see what the campers have come up with here.

Biography

My name is Jonathan. Call me Joon for now.  An intro for me is that I love stop motion and history, combine those two and you get an amazing show of education too.  I am also bilingual, play tennis, badminton, play video games, like to hangout and just chill.

When I’m not doing any of these things, I would just play chess and I’m getting pretty good. Stop motion I do is LEGO and LEGOS aren’t “kid” toys. LEGOS are inspirational and can make great videos and movies. Sports that I also play are pickleball and ping pong, which I don’t know if it’s actually a sport but moving on. Video games I play are Minecraft, Roblox and a ton of others.

My favorite thing of all time is…chilling and relaxing from school.  If you don’t like relaxing you are weird. This is all about me and I hope you learned a lot from me. Thank you!
