Protesters gathered in the parking lot of the Anchorage Correctional Complex on Tuesday night to oppose U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's detention of 42 men at the facility.
Several Anchorage Police Department officers arrived at the complex in response to the protest. The detentions are part of the Trump administration's immigration policy aimed at removing immigrants from the country, according to the Associated Press.
