Drug paraphernalia confiscated
12:36 a.m. — APD responded to a 911 disconnect from a housing unit in MAC 5. Officers responded and discovered that the caller had drug paraphernalia in their possession, which was promptly confiscated. Housing will handle the situation.

Dirty deeds done

3:15 p.m. — A staff member reported an individual who was viewing pornography and performing a lewd act. An officer responded, and the individual departed without any further incident.

Monday, Jan. 28

Hit-and-run damages truck
3:00 p.m. — An individual contacted APD to report that their vehicle had been struck by a pickup truck while in the west parking lot. The truck driver did not stop to exchange required information and departed the area. An officer responded and is investigating.

Theft leaves student cold

8:47 p.m. — A student whose coat was stolen called UPD for an escort to a campus parking lot. A responding officer determined her coat was stolen from a room in the Allied Health Sciences Building.

Tuesday, Jan. 29

Student returns lost item
6:34 p.m. — A student found a lost item near the Professional Studies Building and brought it to UPD. The owner was notified.

Wednesday, Jan. 30

Parking garage is hot snowboarding spot

1:17 p.m. — A student came to UPD and reported that he was injured after he fell off the parking garage building. It was determined that the student was snowboarding off the building. The student complained of head injuries but did not want medical assistance. It is not known if the injuries were sustained before or after falling off of the garage.

Friday, Feb. 1

Van nearly goes airborne

11:06 p.m. — A UAA snowplow driver called via radio to report a van driving recklessly; it almost struck the plow and nearly went airborne. The driver was located and issued citations for negligent driving and no proof of insurance.

Saturday, Feb. 2

Dirty deeds done . again
2:12 p.m. — A library staff member called to report that an individual who was asked to leave a few days earlier for viewing pornography was back in the library. An officer responded and requested the man to leave. He complied.
