In-line skaters cut up Commons
7:41 p.m. – The East Hall resident coordinator reported two juveniles were doing in-line skating tricks at the rear of the Commons and had refused to leave when asked. An officer responded but the subjects were gone.
Monday, Feb. 7
Parking Services employee looked suspicious
11:26 a.m. – A staff member called with a second-hand report that a man was looking in the windows of parked vehicles in a east campus parking lot. Two officers responded and found a parking services employee that matched the description was patrolling the lot.
Wednesday, Feb. 9
Peeping tom at dorms
1:10 a.m. - A housing resident reported a suspicious subject behind West Hall who appeared to be looking into windows. The suspect fled toward Providence Hospital when he observed a party. An officer responded but did not find the subject.
Car rifled on campus
5:36 a.m. – A staff member reported his car had been broken into and some possession had been stolen. An officer is investigating. Estimated loss is around $2,500.
Friday, Feb. 11
Stuck elevator traps residents in dorm
1:58 a.m. – UPD received a call from the North Hall elevator phone. The occupants said the elevator stopped and the door opened about an inch. An officer and Otis Elevator responded to free the students and service the elevator.
Fight in front of dorms
2:56 a.m. – A UAA staff member called via radio to report several subject were involved in a fistfight in front of West Hall. Three officers responded to investigate and determined there was an assault charge involved. The subject was issued a summons to appear and was released at the scene. One vehicle was impounded and four subjects left the area in cabs.
Underage drinkers caught on the way to dorms
11:47 p.m. – A housing resident called to report the smell of marijuana from a vehicle parked in an on-campus parking lot. Officers responded to investigate, but the subjects were moving to an East Hall room. The officer contacted the subjects and determined three subjects were in violation of minor consuming alcohol. Summons to appear were issued.
Saturday, Feb. 12
Underage drinkers found at an on-campus party
The Main Apartment Complex resident coordinator reported a party in an apartment. Two officers investigated and determined two subjects were under the age of 21 and had been drinking. One officer issued the subjects a summons to appear.
