A Wolfcard is more than an official UAA ID. This information from the UAA Web site shows why.
U-Pass: A Wolfcard is also a U-Pass for free use anywhere on the city bus system. Visit www.muni.org/transit1/bus.cfm for routes and times.
Sports: The Wolfcard gets students in free to Seawolf home games. Students can get a free ticket at the game or ahead of time at the information desk. Students can also purchase an additional ticket at a discounted price. For tournaments like the Shootout, the number of free tickets differ. Visit the information desk in the Student Union for details.
Campus events: Use the Wolfcard for UAA-sponsored movies, concerts, dances, lectures, and all venues in the Wells Fargo Sports Complex for free or discounted admission.
Money: A Wolfcard can be used to pay for many things on campus. Wolfbucks can be placed on a card and used at many locations on campus: the bookstore, all university dining locations, vending machines, copier machines, print stations, the Arts Building box office and UAA laundry facilities. Peppercini’s Deli House, in the University Center, also accepts Wolfbucks. Students can use three options to deposit money onto a Wolfcard. Visit one of the four Value Transfer Stations installed on campus (www.uaa.alaska.edu/wolfcard/vts.cfm), visit the Wolfcard office in the University Center, or call 786-HOWL to charge a credit card on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Library card: No need to fill that wallet with a card for every university need. The Wolfcard also acts as a student’s way to borrow books from the UAA/APU Consortium Library. (In fact, students who use the inter-library loan system at the Consortium Library are required to check out those books with their Wolfcards.)
Printing in the labs: Students who paid the UAA Technology Fee with their tuition receive a $10 printing allocation each semester on their Wolfcard.
Dining dollars: Some students living in the dorms receive these with their meal plans.
Outdoor equipment rentals: Students who show their Wolfcard at the information desk can rent a variety of outdoor equipment to enjoy a sunny summer day or a snowy winter outing.
Staying in shape: Any student with six credits or more can use the pool, fitness center, gym and ice rink during available times. For the recreation schedule, visit www.uaa.alaska.edu/recreation/schedules/index.cfm.
Bookstore discounts: Students who make a purchase with Wolfbucks receive 20 percent off regularly priced items (except gift certificates, electronics, software, DVDs, videos, textbooks, stamps, reference books, course catalogs, books on cassette, sundries, consignment merchandise and graduation merchandise).
