May 24

4:19 a.m. While on patrol on at UAA, an officer observed a subject sprawled out on the grass on the south side of Providence Drive. Two officers contacted the suspect who was intoxicated and transported the individual to Community Service Patrol.

10:22 p.m. During a routine traffic stop a UPD officer arrested a driver for driving with a suspended license.


May 25

11:23 a.m. UPD was called about a verbal argument between a man and woman in the South lot. The Chief, accompanied by an officer, responded, however the suspects were gone on arrival.

11:51 a.m. A woman contacted UPD after losing her ring in a sink in the BMB Building women's bathroom. A maintenance worker was contacted and responded to help the woman locate the ring.

7:34 p.m. While on patrol on Providence Drive an officer stopped to assist Providence Hospital Security with an intoxicated male at the bus stop. CSP was notified, responded, and transported the perpetrator to sleep it off at the 6th Ave. Correctional Center.


May 26

1:22 a.m. A UAA student called UPD about being harassed. While investigating the verbal assault complaint the officer found criminal mischief was involved. The incident is still under investigation.


May 27

7:09 a.m. The site foreman for Neeser construction called UPD and reported the generator supplying power to the Science Building was malfunctioning. UPD contacted maintenance via radio and alerted them of the problem.

8:15 a.m. A moose was sighted outside the front entrance of North Hall. An officer responded, but the moose was gone on arrival.


May 28

8:00 p.m. A Providence worker contacted UPD to request an officer to aid in removing an intoxicated individual from the area. An officer called Alaska Cab and the individual was taken to his requested destination.


May 29

12:04 a.m. An officer observed an individual outside of a vehicle in the Diplomacy Building lot who attempted to avoid UPD. A computer check on the owner of the vehicle revealed that his license was revoked. The individual was transported home and the vehicle was moved.

11:19 a.m. A man called UPD to request assistance in securing his weapon into the weapons locker at student housing. UPD Sergeant responded and secured the weapon.

2:58 p.m. While on patrol near the Administration Building, UPD was flagged down by a couple in a motor home. The driver asked permission to park the RV in Birch lot. The officer gave him permission to park the vehicle.


May 30

12:59 p.m. A staff member at UAA reported a guy sleeping in the spine between the Engineering and Science buildings. UPD responded and advised the subject to leave the area.

4:30 p.m. The woman at the information desk in the Campus Center called UPD for assistance because the Editor of the Northern Light had his keys stuck in the door. He had locked himself out of the office.
