The Seawolves third week of hockey action will take place on Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24 against the University of North Dakota.
This will be the Seawolves fourth and fifth games this season. At the Kendall Classic two weeks ago UAA recorded one win and one loss.
The Fighting Sioux are ranked fourth this year. They finished last year with an overall record of 24-16-4.
So far this season has been going well for them with a two-game home sweep over Merrimack.
“Merrimack was a good test for us, things look good so far,” said North Dakota Assistant Head Coach Cary Eades.
The Fighting Sioux have one of the youngest teams in the WCHA with nine freshmen. The team captains, senior defenseman Chay Genoway and senior forward Chris VandeVelde bring experience and talent to the table for the Sioux. Freshman Mike Cichy, a forward from Connecticut, has shown fresh talent and was chosen the WCHA rookie of the week for the first week of the season. Corben Knight is another freshman to keep an eye on.
The puck will drop at 7:07 p.m. on both Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Sullivan Arena.
