Sept. 27 Slingin' rock

12:27 p.m. A student contacted the University Police Department after observing a drug deal on campus. An officer is investigating.


Sept. 28 Petty vandalism

1:51 a.m. A citizen contacted UPD to report that someone had thrown a beer bottle through the window of her car. Damage is estimated at $250.

1:55 a.m. Officers on patrol in housing noticed a man who appeared to be inebriated behind West Hall. They contacted him and issued a minor consuming alcohol citation.

2:45 a.m. A North Hall coordinator called UPD about vomit in the elevator. Maintenance responded for the clean up.

2:54 a.m. A housing resident called UPD about people skateboarding in front of his apartment and waking up his family. Officers responded and dispersed the skaters.

4:05 a.m. UPD was contacted about numerous subjects swinging from trees and being boisterous behind West Hall. The hooligans had left when the police arrived.

Sept. 29 Who can it be knockin' at my door?

3:16 a.m. A housing resident called UPD reporting several persons in North Hall being loud and knocking on his door. Officers investigated and determined that the subjects had not been drinking. They were dispersed peacefully.

1:15 a.m. While on patrol officers were flagged down by housing advisers who informed them of a party in building two of the main apartment complex. Three officers responded and found that all the subjects were over 21. They were asked to hold the noise down.


Sept. 30 Judo chop!

6:39 p.m. UPD was informed that a student had been raped by two men near campus on Sept. 29. An officer and the West Hall resident coordinator responded and are investigating.

8:32 p.m. UPD was advised of an individual walking in the Sports Center parking lot who appeared to be dressed as a hospital patient. An officer determined that it was simply someone traveling to Providence hospital, not a patient.

9:18 p.m. UPD was contacted about by a UAA staff member who observed a male kick a female juvenile in the back while on the way to the hockey rink. An officer responded and after conducting interviews was able to deduce that it was just horseplay.


Oct. 1 Cycling shenanigans

12:52 p.m. A UAA staff member contacted UPD about someone riding a bicycle in the second floor hallway of the college of Arts and Sciences building. An officer failed to find anyone at the scene.


Oct. 2 Pooch on the loose

5:22 p.m. A university staff member called UPD to report that a dog was loose in the commons. An officer responded with animal control, but the cur was gone.


Oct. 3 Time to get a stereo

2:03 a.m. A resident adviser contacted UPD about a loud party in MAC building six. Officers responded and issued five MCAs.

9:03 a.m. An officer on duty observed a student driving with headphones on. The driver was issued a citation for the infraction.
