Former UAA hockey stars now in the big leagues

UAA alumni keep stacking up the stats

Following the final home game of each season, the UAA hockey players normally have an autograph session. Not only does this allow the fans an opportunity to meet the athletes they cheer for, but also it gives them a chance to wish luck to the seniors who are departing - and get a memento before the athletes become famous.

Ten nominated, but only one will win the 2007-2008 Athlete of the Year award

Throughout the various 2007-2008 sports seasons, many athletes put forth their best efforts to achieve both personal and team goals. Competing to conquer other squads, teams and individuals in their respective sports, these Seawolves have also stacked up their stats and are now vying for the prestigious award of Athlete of the Year.

Seawolf hockey signs two skaters for 08-09 UAA head hockey coach Dave Shyiak announced today the signing of Curtis Leinweber (Calgary, Alberta) and Tyler Moir (Calgary, Alberta) to National Letters of Intent to play for the Seawolves in 2008-09. The incoming duo combined to score 135 points this past season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, while helping lead their respective teams to second- and third-place finishes in the AJHL South Division.
