UAA Public Surplus Sale

Author Gina Apostol presents “Gun Dealers’ Daughter”
What: Author Gina Apostol will read from her novel “Gun Dealers’ Daughter” and take questions from the audience. Her novel is set in martial law Philippines and explores links between the past and present as well as writing and history.

What: A two day public event where you can connect with employers and take part in workshops.

UAA World Traveler Homecoming Dance
What: UAA’s homecoming dance. Tickets available at the Student Union or at uaatix.com. Shuttle pickup available at the Commons every 30 minutes starting at 8 p.m. Guests must be sponsored by a UAA student.
When: Friday, Oct. 13 from 8 p.m. – 1 a.m.

“She Kills Monsters”
What: Agnes is lost in a Dungeons & Dragons game in an attempt to understand her deceased sister Tilly and, maybe, herself. Alice and Tilly’s D&D friends role-play their way though adventures in what promises to be “A comedic riff on nerd culture with cheeky pop-culture nostalgia.” Directed by Ryan Buen and produced with Cyrano’s Theater Company.
When: Thursday, Oct. 12, from 7 – 8:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 7 – 8:30 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 15, 3 – 4:30 p.m.
