It wasn’t a great night for the Seawolf gymnastics team Saturday, as they finished fourth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championship meet in Seattle, Wash.

UAA gymnast Matsunami headed to NCAA West Regional Championships

11. That’s the total number of Seawolves who have captured a spot at the NCAA Division I West Regional Championships since 1988. On April 6 in Corvallis, Ore., freshman M’rcy Matsunami will tack on one more gymnast to the tally.

Seawolf gymnasts happy, not complacant

The Seawolves’ gymnastics team has the skill, attitude, and determination to come out on top of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Conference, and from the looks of it are already vaulting toward that goal. The UAA gymnasts are averaging about the same scores as they did last season at this point. Recently took 2nd place at a tournament in Towson, Md. Earlier in the year, they tumbled past the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons for two home wins.
