After fourteen days in court, Lorraine Phillips-Bohn and Glenn Bohn say their son Bret Bohn is now under guardianship of the State against his will. The Bohn’s claim hospital officials, and ruling Judge Erin B. Marston, have ignored their son’s original Power of Attorney which gave them (the parents) the right to make medical decisions on behalf of their son.

On October 16, 2013 after several nights of insomnia, Bohn’s parents brought him to the Providence Hospital Emergency Room to seek treatment.

he University of Alaska housing community is home to almost 1,000 students. Part of UAA Housing’s mission is to make these students feel safe and secure.

On April 6, 2012, the University Police Department was called to the Edward Lee Gorsuch Commons mailroom to investigate reports of possible mail theft.  The Commons is thought of as the heart of the UAA housing community, where residents eat, hang out, check their mail and feel a sense of connection with fellow students. Over the past couple of weeks, UPD has initiated an investigation, conducted interviews and seized evidence.

This afternoon at approximately 4:30 p.m. an unknown assailant attempted to physically assault a student walking inside the University Center near the entrance to the furniture store. The student was able to defend himself against the attacker, who had thrown his backpack at the student and was attempting to punch and kick the student. The suspect was described at a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with brown hair. He was wearing a dark green jacket with a gray hoodie under the jacket. He was carrying a black or dark-colored backpack.
