Godspell will be opening at UAA
The UAA theatre and music students will be working together to put on Godspell. The production has been described as family fun in time for the holidays and will be running from Nov. 21 to Dec. 7. The performance will be at the Mainstage Theatre of Fine Arts Building and tickets range from $10 to $18. Fran Lautenberger will be directing the show and the cast will consist of all UAA students. The show promises to be lively and entertaining for all.

UAA Percussion Ensemble performing on Nov. 25
As everyone is winding down for a quick Thanksgiving break, the UAA percussion ensemble will be giving a performance in the Fine Arts room 150 on Nov. 25. Student tickets are only $5, so it’s a good, cheap way to unwind for the evening. At 7:30, the drums will be pulled out and rhythm will dominate the night for those willing to listen. The ensemble, directed by John Damberg, will be featuring Brady Byers, John Hamlin, and Corey Rainey. Their styles range from ragtime to cha-cha and everything in between.

Trash talking band takes their tour to Anchorage
Surprisingly enough, a band on a national tour will be stopping through Anchorage on Nov. 21 in celebration of the release of their collective label. Trash Talk has received praise from Rolling Stone Magazine and performed in the CMJ Music Marathon of New York City. The band released their latest album in July, and has been touring across the country since then. They will be performing at Downstairs and more information on the show can be found at www.trashtalkhc.com.
